Sab guided travel writer Sophy Roberts on a trip to some of our favourite places: Bamurru Plains, Mount Borradaile and Davidson’s Arnhem Land Safaris, and our own permanent private camp in Kakadu National Park.
Roberts writes about the Lord family’s decades-long history in what is now Kakadu National Park, about how Sab’s parents, John Bruce and Pauline, bought a 500-square-mile block of land there in 1960 and lived on the homestead in “a fallen-down tin shed.”
