We designed Lydia’s journey to include everything from a dramatic helicopter flight over the vast Arnhem Land plateau Stone Country to the ancient beauty and vibrant culture of Aboriginal art at Injalak Hill and the Injalak Arts Centre.
For accommodation, we stayed at Bamurru Plains wild bush luxury lodge and at our own private, permanent bush camp in Kakadu National Park.
“When you ‘camp bush’ with Sab, he will barbecue the kangaroo steaks, crack open beers, set everything up and pack it away,” Lydia writes. “Your job is to rummage around in the cool box for a crisp Australian riesling.”
